Itinerary
Day 1: Lima
Arrival at Lima and transfer to your hotel. If you arrive early, we can arrange optional tours to museums or visit the city and surroundings sites 
Day 2: Lima Pto. Maldonado - Amazon Jungle Lodge
Morning transfer to the airport for a flight to Puerto Maldonado to be continued with a 1 hour motorboat ride on the Tambopata River to our jungle lodge. After a short rest and fresh up, we receive cmplete briefing about the lodge and ecotourism project. Our af-ternoon activity is a short walk through the forest to arrive at the 35 meters high Canopy Tower, offering spectacular views of the river and rainforest. (B,L,D)
Day 3: Amazon Jungle Lodge
Start with an an early morning visit to the Tres Chimbadas oxbow lake. After breakfast, depart from Posada Amazonas by boat and take a brief walk to the lake shore followed by a long, easy canoe ride around the lake where our Peru ecotour may include sightings of giant river otters, turtles, hoatzin and wading birds. Return to the lodge's trails to see a small parakeet clay lick where dozens, and sometimes hundreds, of parakeets congregate on clear days to ingest clay. In the afternoon, visit the community's ethnobo-tanical center and hike the surrounding trails with a resident guide who will explain the everyday uses of forest resources in medici-ne, construction, food and fiber. After this educational day of our Peru tour, the evening will be spent at the lodge. (B,L,D)
Day 4: Pto. Maldonado - Cusco
Early departure downriver to the airport of Pto. Maldonado for a short flight to Cusco, ancient capital of the Inca empire. Our guide pick you up at the airport for a transfer to your hotel. Along the way a quick tour of the colonial Plaza de Armas. Rest of the day free to relax and to get used to the altitude. (B)
Day 5: Cusco
In the morning we will have a guided walking tour through the color-ful markets of Cusco as well as the other important attrac-tions, a-mong them: the colonial cathedral and the Temple of the Sun Kori-cancha. After lunch, an afternoon tour of Inca temples and several other Inca sights, including: the fortress of Sacsay-huaman, Kenko, Puka Pukara and the water temple, Tambo Machay. Late afternoon return to your hotel: relax or explore the interesting culture of Cus-co. (B)
Day 6: Cusco - Sacred Valley
Full day guided excursion to the Sacred Valley. We will visit the picturesque Pisac market, then continue down the Urubamba Val-ley. After lunch we reach Ollantaytambo, a small Inca town with an impressive fortress. Overnight at a local hotel in Urubamba. (B,L)
Day 7: Sacred Valley - Machu Picchu
Early transfer from your hotel to the train station at Ollantaytambo for a 2 hour ride to the small village of Aguas Calientes at the feet of the Machu Picchu mountain. A bus will bring you to the famous ruins of the citadel of Machu Picchu for a full day guided tour. Overnight at a local hotel in the village of Aguas Calientes. (B,L)
Day 8: Machu Picchu - Cusco
Optional early trip to the ruins to experience Machu Picchu at sun-rise. Great opportunity for crowd less photos. The other option is to sleep out and explore the village of Aguas Calientes. Afternoon train return to Cusco, where we will arrive in the evening. Transfer to your hotel. (B)
Day 9: Cusco - Lake Titicaca
A full day busride to Puno where we will visit the floating islands of Lake Titicaca. On the way enjoy the high altitude views of the alti-plano. Transfer to hotel. (B)

Day 10: Lake Titicaca
Lake Titicaca, is the largest and highest navigable lake in South America, located between Peru and Bolivia. It covers an area of 8.300 km2. The saphire blue ice cold water make a beautiful con-trast to the stark altiplano. Our morning departure by boat brings us to the famous floating islands of Uros. After a short visit we head for the Taquile Island, known for its male weavers and spinners. A late afternoon return brings us back to Puno the best place to buy alpaca wear. (B, L)
Day 11: Puno - Arequipa
Morning flight to the Arequipa. The use of the white volcanic rocks for most of the buildings has given Arequipa its nickname White City. In the morning you can relax, in the afternoon we will have an city tour with a visit to Santa Catalina Convent. (B)
Day 12: Arequipa - Chivay
Transfer to village of Chivay at the upper Colca Canyon. On the way enjoy views of the volcanic peaks of El Misti and the altiplano land-scapes, home to llamas, alpacas and vicuñas. and others. Overnight at the charming Colca Lodge. (B, L, D)
Day 13: Colca Canyon - hike
Today we'll visit he highest point of the Colca Canyon at the Cruz del Condor. Highlight today must be the flight of condor, the largest bird on the planet. With a little luck this incredible animal pass just a few meters above your head. Return to Colca Lodge for the night.(B)
Day 14: Chivay - Arequipa - Lima
Transfer to Arequipa for your flight to Lima. Rest of the day free to relax or to shop. Optional city tour possible. Overnight in hotel.(B)
Day 15: Lima - end
Morning transfer to the airport for your connecting international flight Trip extensions to other regions or extra days in Lima or Cusco can also be arranged. (B)
