This trip starts with a visit to the colonial city of Cusco. A city full of Inca history and culture. Than we travel on to the Sacred Valley where you will explore the little Inca towns of Pisaq, Urubamba and Ollantaytamba, their colourful markets and Inca ruins. Then we head on for Puno and Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake of the world, where we shall met some of Peru's oldest people on the floating Islands of Uros. |

Day 1: Lima
Arribval at Lima, transfer to hotel. Optional city tour can be arran-ged if you arrive early. |
Day 2: Lima – Cusco
Morning departure for flight to Cusco (3.200 mtr), center of the Inca Empire. Rest of the day free to acclimatize.(B) |
Day 3: Cusco
Start the day on a guided walking tour of Cusco, visiting the mar-kets, the colonial cathedral, and Koricancha, the impressive Tem-ple of the Sun. After lunch continue with an afternoon tour of Cusco's temples and a visit to several prominent Inca sights, including: the fortress of Sacsayhuamán, Kenko, the small fortress of Puka Pukara and the water temple, Tambo Machay. In the late afternoon, return to your hotel. Evening free.(B) |
Day 4: Cusco - Sacred Valley
Full day guided excursion to the Sacred Valley. Guided excursion to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, with a visit to the ruins of Inca towns of Pisac, Urubamba and Ollantaytambo. Explore local textile and handcraft markets. Overnight in a local hotel. (B,L)

Day 5: Sacred Valley - Machu Picchu
A short walk to the train station where we will board the comforta-ble morning train to Machu Picchu. Arrival at the little village of Aguas Calientes, from where a bus will take you to the famous ruins of Machu Picchu. Later today you have the option to visit the hot springs of Aguas Calientes. Day 6: Machu Picchu - Cusco
Early wake up to experience sunrise at Machu Picchu! Don't miss this unique and spectacular happening. Be sure your camera is ful-ly charged. The afternoon train will take you back to Cusco, transfer to your hotel. (B) |
Day 7: Cusco - Lake Titicaca
A full day busride to Puno where we will visit the floating islands of Lake Titicaca. On the way enjoy the high altitude views of the alti plano. Transfer to hotel. (B)

Day 8: Lake Titicaca
Lake Titicaca, is the largest and highest navigable lake in South America, located between Peru and Bolivia. It covers an area of 8.300 km2. The saphire blue ice cold water make a beautiful contrast to the stark altiplano. Our morning departure by boat brings us to the famous floating islands of Uros. After a short visit we head for the Taquile Island, known for its male weavers and spinners. A late afternoon return brings us back to Puno the best place to buy alpaca wear. (B, L)

Day 9: Lake Titicaca - Lima
After a relaxed breakfast with visit to the mysterious Sillustani chullpas (giant cylindrical burial towers), used by a warrior tribe to bury their elite. Late afternoon flight to Lima, indicating the end of this tour.(B)
